Joey M. Behrstock utilizes a career spanning accounting, financial advising and estate planning strategies to provide clients with essential insurance services coupled with long-term strategic planning and unparalleled client care.  Also a CPA, Joey has served individuals in Beverly Hills and Los Angeles in the field of finance as well as in community service throughout his entire career.

Prior to joining Gilbert-Krupin, Joey was affiliated with the Mass Mutual Financial Group where he focused on life insurance and estate planning strategies.  Before his life insurance career, Joey managed a $3 billion credit facility and specialized in drafting corporate credit agreements and negotiating financial packages.  Joey was also heavily involved in the implementation and compliance of loan agreements and corporate governance.   As importantly, he excelled at corporate negotiations, a skill he uses to assure his life insurance clients always get the best deal.

Joey began his career in tax planning and compliance for high net worth individuals at Arthur Andersen LLP, an international professional services firm, where he prepared corporate, partnership, foundation, trust, gift and individual tax returns.

Within the insurance industry, Joey is a member of Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) and the MDRT’s Top of the Table.

An active member of the community, Joey serves on the board of governors of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He is on the boards of the Guardians for the Los Angeles Jewish Home for the Aging and of Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters Los Angeles/Camp Max Straus.  Joey has been a Jewish Big Brother himself for the past four years, and he also actively participates on the young members committee for the United Jewish Federation on behalf of Hillcrest Country Club.  Joey is a member of the Beverly Hills Rotary Club and of the Beverly Hills High School Athletic Alumni Association.

 A Beverly Hills native, Joey married his high school sweetheart, Amy Levy Behrstock.  Joey, Amy and their two children reside in Beverly Hills with their two dogs, George and Myles.  An avid sports fan, Joey spends his free time with his family, at community events and on the golf course. 

Joey earned a bachelor of arts in economics, accounting and sports management from the University of California at Santa Barbara, where he was a member of the golf team.
